The opening of the MAJESTIC Brand Center 2025

After more than 65 years of success, MAJESTIC is returning to the place where it all began.

The opening of the MAJESTIC Brand Center on the February 22, 2025 in Heerenveen at Van der Glas not only marks a homecoming for the brand but also reinforces its ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in percussion instruments. The history of MAJESTIC dates back to 1921, when Willem Klazes Van der Glas laid the foundation for the company in Heerenveen.
Numerous guests, including former Majestic employees, conductors, and renowned international artists such as She-e Wu and Andrei Pushkarev, along with K.H.S. Group CEO Andy Wang, came together to be part of this unforgettable event.

”MAJESTIC Returns to Its Roots”

The opening ceremony began with a warm welcome, as Klaas and Roelf Van der Glas delivered speeches to greet the guests and emphasize the significance of the event. The former owner of Majetsic Wim Van der Glas, also took the stage, delivering a heartfelt speech that became particularly emotional toward the end. He shared the early days of Majestic, its development, the family's legacy, and the successful continuation of the brand through KHS. Wim Van der Glas also spoke about a journey coming full circle with the Majestic Brand Center, returning to the place where it all began.

Andy Wang, CEO of K.H.S. Group, also took the stage to express his gratitude to Van der Glas for their partnership and for bringing the Majestic Brand Center to life. He provided insights into Majestic’s journey since the acquisition in 2003, highlighting key developments such as the Opus One and Reflection series, as well as the brand’s vision for the future. After the speeches the Majestic Brand Center was officially inaugurated by Wim Van der Glas and Andy Wang with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting.

Renowned artists She-e Wu and Andrei Pushkarev then took the stage, with She-e Wu presenting the Reflection and Opus One series, while Andrei Pushkarev highlighted the unique features of the vibraphone. The evening culminated in a captivating duet by She-e Wu and Andrei Pushkarev. Klaas Van der Glas then invited guests to continue the celebration with food and drinks, featuring a selection of Dutch specialties, including the traditional "Bitterballen."
