The Stichting Pasveerkorpsen Leeuwarden was founded in 1960 and has since entertained audiences with musical and show performances at numerous events. From its inception, Pasveer has played on Van der Glas drums, and later transitioned to the specially developed MAJESTIC Prophonic Marine drums.
The foundation consists of 5 parts: PasveerXS, PasveerKidZ, Jong Pasveer, Pasveerkorps and PasveerXL. Since the 1970s, the foundation has received many national and international awards. The Pasveerkorps won the World Champion Show Contest at the WMC in Kerkrade in both 1989 and 2017. In 1993 they were World Champion Marching Contest en in 2005 World Champion Marchingparade Contest. In 2023, the Pasveerkorps earned the title of Dutch Champion in the Marching Contest.
Not only Pasveer is well known, also the youth ensemble Jong Pasveer gives many performances in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy. The combination of modern repertoire and surprising show figures makes this youth corps a feast for the eyes and ears! In 2022, Jong Pasveer was crowned World Champion in the Junior Division Show, and in 2023, they won the title of Dutch Champion in the Show category.
