Majestic, Mapex & Jupiter Sponsor Marching Showdown Webcast
October 23, 2009— Jupiter
Band Instruments, Mapex Drums and Majestic Percussion
will sponsor the 61st Annual Arizona State University Sun Devil Showdown on Saturday
October 24th by providing live event webcasting on BandDirector.com. The day long
event plays host to local high school marching bands in the Sun Devil Stadium and gives
them the opportunity to receive critiques from leading marching band professionals. The
Sun Devil Showdown will include 25 bands utilizing caption judging and placements.
The Showdown begins at 9:00AM and concludes at 5:30 PM after a finale performance by
the ASU Sundevils Marching Band, who perform exclusively on Jupiter, Mapex and Majestic
instruments. Following their performance will be the award ceremonies. Jupiter Artist
and Arizona State University Professor Sam Pilafian will be providing commentary for
the event.
