DVS wins World Marching Contest
Kerkrade – August, 2009 — During the last weekend of the World Music Contest,
held every 4 years in Kerkrade, the Netherlands, DVS Katwijk won the marching contest.
DVS is endorsed by Majestic Holland and was provided with new marching drums several
weeks ago. With 94.17 points they became the new world champion in a field of 40 bands.
Other bands using Majestic marching percussion, like Pasveer, Takostu, VLS, Flora Band
and many others could be found at the top of the results in the marching contest, marching
parade contest and the show contest.
