Introducing the M7743H and M7750H Concert Marimbas: Superior Concert Percussion from Majestic

March, 2011 - Majestic concert percussion continues to address the needs of discerning concert percussionists with two newly designed rosewood concert marimbas. This revamp of the 7000 series, now consisting of the 4.3 octave M7743H and the 5.0 octave M7750H, will feature revolutionary improvements to enhance the playability and durability of the instruments.

Both models boast Honduran Rosewood bars with a responsive feel and full sound by utilizing the same bar geometry as the Majestic flagship M8650H professional five octave marimba. Wider rails with the unique Majestic re-leveling rail system are employed to ensure the most consistent playing surface possible. Newly designed bar posts with felt insulators allow maximum resonance while providing enhanced stability. Such unique implementations facilitate a superior playing experience for performers of all levels.

The new M7743H and M7750H also host advancements that focus on the ease of setup and durability of these instruments. Setup and tear down are made much easier for the solo performer with independent resonator sections which omit the need to lift the resonators as one complete unit. Additionally, the new folding version of the Majestic height adjustment handle keeps it safely out of harms’ way and helps it to fit more easily into tight set-ups.

“The new Majestic 7000 series marimbas sound fantastic and are very friendly in terms of the ergonomics of both performance and transport,” notes renowned marimba artist Casey Cangelosi. “I appreciate the attention to such details which are often over-looked and that the sharing of bar geometry among models creates more responsible use of the world’s precious diminishing rosewood resources. The M7750H is proving to be the perfect choice for my studio.”
