Harmonic Series Timpani

Majestic is the inventor of the easily transportable timpani with a balance spring pedal system. Many companies have tried to copy this but have been unsuccessful. The Harmonic is the economic version of the recently developed Prophonic series, without a free suspended kettle and only available with a copper or fiberglass kettle. It is an excellent sounding lightweight timpani that has found its way into the hands of timpani players all over the world.

KETTLE
The parabolic kettle is manufactured from copper or fiberglass-reinforced polyester (FRP).
The copper or FRP kettle is also available in a deep cambered version. Choose deep
cambered for a warmer and darker sound or parabolic for a more light-footed character.
PEDAL AND FEET
A unique balance spring renders the pedal action exceptionally light. The rear foot,
the pedal and the front feet are entirely collapsible, which makes this timpani extraordinarily
compact for transport – a set of 2 can be transported in the smallest car.
TUNING GAUGE
All Majestic timpani are fitted with an extremely accurate, easily adjustable and eye-pleasing
tuning gauge.
CASTORS
The two front feet of a Majestic Harmonic timpani are equipped with braking castors which
lock them in place during playing and make them easy transportable afterwards.
RANGE AND SIZES
The Harmonics have a range of almost 1 octave and come in the following sizes: 20",
23", 26”, 29” and 32”. All Majestic timpani can be ordered in either American or
German set up. Tuning gauges will be placed accordingly.
HEADS
The heads used are Renaissance™ models manufactured by Remo ®.
The frame is made entirely of cast aluminum so the timpani remains pleasantly light.
