Joseph W. Nebistinsky teaches instrumental music in the Northern York County School District in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. He is the Director of Percussion and Jazz Ensembles. He is the Music Technology Coordinator and is certified by the Technology Institute for Music Educators. Mr. Nebistinsky is a graduate of Millersville University. He has done graduate work at Illinois State University, Shippensburg University, and Villanova University. He performs in the central Pennsylvania region and maintains an active private studio. He has worked with numerous schools as a consultant.
Mr. Nebistinsky is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association. He has been a member of the Percussive Arts Society, and is very active having served two terms as president of the Pennsylvania Chapter. He was recently elected treasurer of the organization. Currently, he serves as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Jazz Education Network. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz. He is an education endorser for VIC FIRTH Inc. and a ROSS MALLET INSTRUMENTS Educational Clinician. His articles have been published in MODERN DRUMMER and PERCUSSIVE NOTES. Mr. Nebistinsky has presented clinics in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
