Chris studied at the Guildhall School of music. He enjoys performing as a drummer, percussionist, composer and teacher in a wide range of musical genres. Experience includes :
Freelance recording sessions - Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, James Bond, Gangs of New York, King Arthur, Breaking Dawn, My Week with Marilyn, Arthur Christmas, Strictly Come Dancing including scores for John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregson-Williams, Elmer Bernstein, George Fenton, Dave Arnold, Danny Elfman, Howard Shore, Joni Mittchell, Terrence Blanchard.
Orchestras - The Philharmonia, London Sinfonietta, Aurora Orchestra, RPO, BBC Radio Orchestra, BBC symphony, CBSO.
West End shows - including Follies, Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard, Chigaco, Evita and the Lion King.
Chris’s love of jazz has lead to gigs with the BBC Big Band, Syd Lawrence big band, Roger Beaujolais, London Jazz Orchestra, Under the Influence and 3 CDs with his own group All Bluff and Porterage.
Along side regular studio work Chris is currently playing in West End production of The Lion King, working on new albums for his jazz projects, teaching drums at the London College of Music and trying to lower his golf handicap.
