Jupiter Gears Up for Majestic Growth
AUSTIN, TEXAS–February 24, 2005–Jupiter executives traveled to the Majestic Timpani facilities in the Netherlands to review the product and procedures as the brand prepares for increased distribution.
Majestic, a fine line of European orchestral percussion, was introduced to the U.S. market in January and the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.
“People knew Majestic as a well-respected European brand, so the introduction of Majestic to the US market has gone extremely well,” Jupiter President Keith Gard said. “Educators like the quality. We have had a lot of positive activity with the brand.”
Since plans have been underway to strengthen and expand Majestic, Jupiter executives found it essential to visit the factory to ensure ongoing cooperation and smooth, efficient procedures. Vice President of Marketing Derek Craig and Manager of Customer Support Brent Rosborough followed Gard and Majestic managers on a comprehensive tour of the factory.
“It was important to revisit the factory to understand the quality of product and design,” Gard said. “It helps us to fully understand the quality control process and learn first-hand the European perception of the brand.”
Original goals for Majestic’s introduction to the U.S. were ambitious, but according to Jupiter, American educators were definitely looking for a product like this.
“Obviously the market has been ready and waiting for higher performance models that are affordable,” Craig said. “Our trip to the factory in Holland this past month was important because it solidified our coммunication and plans for growth.”
Majestic’s growth was clear at this year’s Musikmesse show, the largest musical instrument trade show, in Frankfurt, Germany.
“Watching Majestic’s presence at Messe increase over the past several years underlines their coммitment to growth and ours,” Craig, who attended the convention, said. “More and more American school music dealers attended the show and were bound to be impressed with the brand, which makes it easier for them to offer it to their own customers back home.”
